One-Year Gift Subscriptions
MSP was founded as a response to complaints about the soaring price of journals from commercial publishers, and it has been in the forefront of the movement toward high-quality, low-cost journals. As mathematicians and academians ourselves, we at MSP know that times are tough for libraries. Besides the budget cuts caused by widespread economic turmoil, commercial journal prices have been doubling every few years.
To help, we are now offering Gift E-Subscriptions. These are an opportunity for private individuals to sponsor subscriptions for the institution or library of their choice. Namely, you can now buy an electronic subscription to PJM or an MSP-owned journal, at a greatly reduced price, and offer it to the nonsubscribing institution of your choice. As with any of our electronic subscriptions, this includes access to past issues. Depending on your chosen institution's nonprofit status, your gift may even be tax-deductible!

The Fine Print
To receive a gift subscription for a given year, the beneficiary institution must not have been subscribed to the gifted journal in the preceding two years. An institution cannot receive two gift subscriptions to the same journal within five years, regardless of the identity of the benefactor. To determine whether your gift subscription is tax-deductible, please check with the beneficiary institution. Access to past issues available as long as the institution maintains an active subscription. Currently available only for journals owned by MSP and for the Pacific Journal of Mathematics. Not available for print subscriptions.
